The static load test of the drive system is carried out on a combination of frame, footpegs, drive train and rear wheel components, including the gearbox. The frame is placed vertically in its center plane and the rear wheel is clamped at the wheel to prevent wheel rotation. Gradually apply a force of 600 N vertically downward to the center of the footpegs and hold the force at full load for 15 s. Inspect any parts of the test piece for fractures or permanent deformations, and for proper drive function.
